Radio shock jocks "Opie and Anthony" began their careers in Boston where their show swiftly became that city's number one radio show. They moved their act to New York City after being fired for an April Fool's Day prank wherein they announced that Boston's mayor had died in an automobile accident. Their show was eventually syndicated by Infinity broadcasting, and then cancelled because of a controversial broadcast of a contest featuring public sex acts. During the broadcast in question, a couple was arrested for having sex with each other in New York's St. Patrick's Cathedral.
