"Survivor Thailand" is the fifth installment of CBS' immensely popular Survivor
television series, a reality show that pits 16 contestants against each other in a game of
elimination with the final survivor winning a grand prize of $1 million. In all elimination
rounds except the final round, the eligible contestants vote amongst themselves to decide who
will be eliminated from the competition; in the final round, the former contestants choose the
winner from the last two survivors. All of this takes place on a deserted island where
contestants live as castaways under challenging primitive conditions. This scenario has given
rise to very interesting group dynamics as well as legal and ethical controversies.
