"Gundam" is one of the most prolific Japanese anime sagas about a near future in which most of the human race lives in outer space. [Anime is Japanese animation.] It started in 1979 with Mobile Suit Gundam, which has spawned many sequel series, movies, and videos, including Z Gundam, Gundam Wing, Gundam 08th MS Team, and Gundam 0080. However, the first English-language Gundham productions have only recently made their way to the United States, over twenty years later.
